Ocean Nova is a sturdy and nimble expedition vessel. This ship was built in Denmark in 1992 to sail the ice-choked waters of Greenland. It has a strengthened hull that is ideally suited for expedition travel in Antarctica. The ship was fully refurbished in 2006 and since then has benefited from annual upgrades and improvements.

For air-cruise expeditions, this ship has capacity for 67 passengers accommodated in comfortable outside cabins. The ship offers three different categories of accommodation: dedicated Single Cabins, Twin Cabins, and Triple Cabins. All cabins aboard feature a picture window, a writing desk with chair, a wardrobe, individually controlled heating system, and a private bathroom with shower. All cabins offer you a peaceful spot to rest for the next day’s adventure.

In addition to a glass-enclosed observation lounge and presentation room, Ocean Nova also has a spacious dining room, a bar, a library, a small gym, and an infirmary. The ship has a fleet of 7 Zodiac boats that are well suited for disembarking and wildlife watching.

The Ocean Albatros is deployed to a large selection of expedition cruise destinations, Antarctica, the Arctic and various other exciting destinations in between.

With a total of 94 comfortable staterooms and suites, all with unobstructed sea view, most with their own balcony, the Ocean Albatros has definitely become one of the most popular expedition cruise vessels in the world. Like it’s sistership, the Ocean Victory, it offers two restaurants, a wellness area, an Albatros Nordic Bar, an open deck dining facility, a modern lecture lounge, and other state-of-the-art amenities.

The vessel has more than a 50% lower carbon footprint than traditional expedition vessels and is one of the most environmentally friendly, implementing the Green Initiative Program, ensuring both absolute comfort and sustainability for our guests. Unlike the Ocean Victory, the Ocean Albatros also offers a unique panorama sauna, and even more dedicated solo travel cabins without a single-supplement.

Albatros Expedtitions cruises include landings and excursions aboard Ocean Albatros’s fleet of 18 inflatable, motorized rubber “Zodiac” boats. The Zodiac brand has earned a well-deserved reputation as the sturdiest and safest small watercraft available. These boats have a low draft and great stability. Zodiacs are constructed for professional use and are outfitted with a top-quality outboard engine, yet their design minimally impacts the environment.

The Zodiacs are designed to provide unrestricted access to the world’s last great frontier. Their versatility enables us to make landfall on remote shores, cruise along awe-inspiring coastlines and share breathtakingly close encounters with whales, seals, penguins, seabirds and more. We will come within arm’s reach of icebergs and set foot on land discovered by pioneering explorers just over a century ago. Your safety and comfort are our #1 priority, and your expedition leader will carefully plan for as many Zodiac excursions as possible, dependent upon the local weather and prevailing conditions.

The MS Seaventure features a 1-A Super ice class rating — the highest ice class awarded to passenger vessels. This means that you will be able to explore coves, bays, and channels that would previously have been unable to navigate.

The ship also offers a host of new activities, there’s a sauna, a fitness center, a custom-built citizen science lab, and heated saltwater pool. There is more storage space, which is important because it means the ship can carry more equipment, so that more guests can participate in activities like kayaking, snowshoeing, and camping.

The common areas are larger and beautifully appointed, and the ship has two kitchens, one on the Lido deck for al fresco dining when weather permits. All voyages include alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as a certified emergency MD and clinic, a world class cuisine with live entertainment and a voyage photographer. You will aslo recive a dedicated passenger service manager and your very own complimentary expedition jacket.
