Trace the path of legendary explorers as you journey deep into the remote Canadian High Arctic and Northwest Greenland. This 17-night voyage aboard the HANSEATIC spirit is a true polar expedition—where glaciers, icebergs, and historic trails meet rare wildlife and Inuit traditions.
Sail through iceberg-laced fjords, past Devon and Ellesmere Islands, into the rarely seen Nares Strait. Watch for polar bears hunting along the ice, walrus resting on floes, and seabird colonies clinging to rugged cliffs. Zodiac landings and onboard experts bring you face-to-face with dramatic landscapes and Arctic history—from ancient settlements to stories of Franklin and Peary.
Expect to explore remote communities like Uummannaq, Qaanaaq, and Sisimiut, engage with Greenlandic culture, and stand before the thundering ice of Ilulissat Icefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With flexible routing guided by ice conditions, this voyage offers an ever-changing adventure through the wild, icy edge of the north.
