Destinations Greenland, Svalbard

Embark on the Northeast Greenland Solar Eclipse Explorer Voyage, a once-in-a-lifetime 14-day Arctic expedition weaving through the remote wilds of Svalbard and Greenland. This journey offers not just breathtaking landscapes, but a celestial spectacle you’ll never forget—the total solar eclipse of August 12, 2026.

Your adventure begins in Longyearbyen, Spitsbergen, before navigating toward the dramatic fjord systems of East Greenland. Along the way, you’ll encounter the Arctic’s most iconic wildlife—from polar bears and Arctic foxes to seals and whale species moving beneath drifting iceberg-scapes. For those seeking more active exploration, optional long hikes (capturing tundra plus glacier views) offer both solitude and vast horizons.

On eclipse day, your vessel positions in the heart of the eclipse’s path—likely near Scoresby Sund or, if ice blocks access, along the remote Blosseville Coast. Be ready for a moment of pure Arctic wonder: 2 minutes and 17 seconds of perfect totality, where day turns to twilight, and the polar silence becomes profound.

After the skies regain their light, the voyage continues through Greenland’s fjord wilderness, with glacier-studded shores, drifting icebergs, and the chance to witness shimmering northern lights as night falls. Zodiac excursions, coastal hikes, and cultural glimpses into Inuit communities deepen this sensory journey.
